Ray Lewis, a man with transgressions like everyone, is a man
who has publicity pronounced his faith in Jesus Christ. 1 Timothy 6:12 Fight
the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also
called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many “Witnesses”

Anna Welker , the media and all the other Ray Lewis haters
out there that keep wanted to bring up the murder acquitted incident, and all
the other dirt they can possibly find, they need to understand something, Ray
Lewis is born again, he has accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior, and he is a
new person, doesn’t matter whether he murdered or not he has been forgiven of
his sins by the blood of Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 2:24-25 Who Himself bore our
sins in His own body on the cross, that we, having died to sins, might live for
righteousness-by whose striped you were healed. For you were like sheep going
astray, but have now returned to the shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
1 John1:9 if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to
forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Ray Lewis is a
man to be admired; he faces ignorant people every day that criticizes him for
his past mistakes. I guess the people that are criticizing him are perfect. Didn’t
Jesus say “He, who is without sin among you, may cast the stone at her first?”
Ray Lewis is not perfect the only perfect person was “Christ”
Ray Lewis is one of the fiercest linebackers in NFL history;
he consistently sets a good example of how the game should be played. He plays
with passion and energy that transcends to his team mates, which enables
everyone to play at a higher level. His is a leader among his peers.
Ray Lewis is proud of his Christian faith and often
professes it to the public, “I will probably be most proud of the impact I’ve
had on so many men’s lives,” Lewis said. “The game will fade one day, numbers
will fall, accolades will wash away, but there is nothing better than changing
someone’s life.” (Richmond Times-Dispatch 2013)
Ray Lewis has an opportunity to finish his career on top, by
being in a Super bowl and of course, the ultimate way to finish a NFL career
would be to win the Super bowl.
Ray Lewis admits that he turns into a different person on
the field and he is a totally different person off the field. On the field he
is driven to do whatever it takes for his teammates and his team to win.
No matter how critical some people are of Ray Lewis, they
can’t deny the fact that he has been a huge impact to Football. Lewis started his
career at the University of Miami, he lead the team in tackles during his
freshman year and he was named to the freshman All-American team. He later
earned First-team All-American and All Big East teams honor. He was later
drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the team’s inaugural year of 1996. In the
year 2000 he won the Super Bowl MVP award as his team hammered the N.Y. Giants
34-7 but this year they expect to pull off an upset similar to that of the N.Y
Giants in last year’s Super bowl and the Super Bowl of 2008.
Ray Lewis has made it clear he relies heavily on a power
beyond this world. “God has always been a part of my life,” Faith is accepting
things unseen as if they are. (Richmond Times-Dispatch 2013) Hebrews 11:1 “Now
faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
Ray Lewis doesn’t claim a religion; he claims there is a higher power that he
goes to. Ray Lewis claims that the life outside of football is being a man, but
he is a man on the field as well. Because real men believe in a higher power,
real men believe and trust Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. So no matter
what the outcome of today’s Super Bowl is Ray Lewis will leave the game of
Football a proven winner. However, in my humble opinion I think Ray Lewis will
do his own brand of the “Kaepernicking” http://espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/2012/story/_/id/8881186/super-bowl-xlvii-colin-kaepernick-san-francisco-49ers-most-bet-player
